Hunt Companies, Inc. (formerly Hunt Building Corporation) is a diversified investment, real estate development, design-build, construction management and asset/property management holding company. Founded in 1947, Hunt has become one of the nation’s leading developers and contractor’s with a focus on public-private ventures, military housing, mixed-use, multi-family housing, master-planned communities, retail, office, and value added asset management.
Hunt is comprised of five separate and independent entities including: Hunt Building Company, Hunt Development Group, Hunt Military Communities, Hunt Communities, and Hunt NR (Natural Resources). Headquartered in El Paso, Texas with regional offices in Albuquerque, NM; Honolulu, HI; and Washington, D.C., Hunt has 439 full-time regular employees, 215 project-specific employees, and has been operated by the Hunt family for four generations. To date, Hunt and its affiliates have completed over 320 projects in 38 states consisting of approximately 90,000 housing units, over 923,000 square feet of commercial space, and over 488,000 square feet of industrial storage space. Development project costs have been in excess of $6.3 billion, with over $7.8 billion in construction costs. In addition, Hunt has developed thousands of acres of residential land.
Hunt's investments include controlling interests in almost 9,000 acres of land.
